Henry Jones (otherwise Fox) guilty of the murder of Richard Jones, by beating him on his head, stomach, back, belly and sides with a stick, in the parish of Dingestow on 3rd January 1785.  Matthew Price (otherwise Devereaux) was guilty of feloniously, wilfully and of his malice aforethought being present aiding, abetting, assisting, helping, comforting and maintaining Jones the felony and murder aforesaid in manner and form aforesaid to do and commit.  They were also indicted with unlawfully and injuriously extorting 5/- from Richard Jones in order to stop conveying him to gaol and permitting him to escape.  They are named as bailiffs of Christopher Chambre Esquire, Sheriff of Monmouthshire.
